Since its inception in 1950, more than 60 years ago, Day & Ross Inc., a wholly owned trucking and logistics subsidiary of McCain Foods Limited, has grown from a handful of trucks hauling between just a few provinces in eastern Canada into one of Canada’s largest national transportation providers. Day & Ross is headquartered in Hartland, New Brunswick (just 15 minutes from McCain Foods founding plant in Florenceville) and has more than 2,000 employees in terminals across Canada and 3,500 owner operators and 3,300 company owned trucks and trailers.Day & Ross provides a variety of transportation and logistics solutions through six functional divisions.

The Day & Ross Transportation Group share a foundational platform that provides each division with the required support and consistency from Human Resources, Administration, Finance, Safety & Compliance, Legal and IT. In some cases, particularly between Day & Ross and Sameday Worldwide, facilities across Canada are shared.

Each division is in a different segment of the transportation market and, as such, has strategies unique to each division. The management team within each division was appointed for their specific expertise and their ability to drive and execute the divisional strategy.
